Visit the project page and get more info about him, does download of the tool, source files and samples.

Fabulous box of Air Applications

February 22nd, 2009 | No Comments | Posted in English, Geral, air, sqlite

We've coming to note a variety of nice applications, built using Adobe Air technology. In this last week i was able to know two awesome applications.

The first is De MonsterDebugger designed by De Monsters a Nederlands design studio, this incredible and  useful application coming to solve a bit the debug problems than Flash users have, when are developing a project using Flash authoring tool or same for those than using FDT, Flashdevelop or Eclipse/Flex Builder. This tool has shown itself much more interesting for debug your applications.

The second is pointed to Rails users, than thus like me has use SQLite3 on begun of a project. Rails users appreciate the terminal usage, but i think than, they feel much more pleasant with Lita.

Lita give us a graphic interface with some features, than are useful to manage SQLite databases.

Django is a great web framework than works with Python how your main language.

I knew Django chatting with a friend to some months, about the similarities between Ruby and Python and the facilities than Rails was bringing to my life, immediately my friend ask me: Do you know Django? I answer, humn!

Coming in house, i was looking for something about Django and i see than, thus as, Rails become the most famous and utilized Ruby framework, Django was the same, just it for Python.

The railers know the Why's (poignant) Guide to Ruby, a online book than learn Ruby of fun way and than is being written. Why's (poignant) Guide to Ruby have gained much collaborators, than are doing translations and images to illustrate the book.

Following this style,  (really i didn't know, who followed style of who), Mario Brandão released your online book, Aprendendo Django, thus as, the Ruby book, it still is being written, but already have 29 chapters for who want read, teaching with a fun history and characters a bit about Django and Python.

If you choose Python how your agile web language, check out the book, i don't have doubts than, you'll appreciate much.

Ps.: The book was originally written in Brazilian Portuguese, but i think than Google translate can be useful on this time.

Conheça Django se divertindo

January 23rd, 2009 | No Comments | Posted in Django, Português, Python

Take a coffee, i'm talking about Shoes a awesome multi-platform GUI framework than allow create a GUI to your application using ruby, this isn't amazing? (and vicing too). Check out this and this tutorials, to get start and become a zombie like me

Have a nice GUI development.

Enough of excuses!

Some developers than i know, told me than the Rails is amazing, but they for, isn't possible starting, because Mac are very expensive here and without the revolutionary TextMate and the powerful Terminal, everything in Windows, seems fight against rails (GIT support/MS-PROMPT).

Well, Macs really are expensive at Brazil, but with a reasonable PC and any linux distribution you already solve this little inconvenience, but once again, I hear than Linux haven't no Photoshop, haven't Flash and bla, bla, bla...

Fabio Akita is the most important Brazilian Rails evangelist and is always researching ways of help the newer Railers, to have the better Rails programming experience. Thinking on this , Akita posted in your blog a article than explain how leave your Windows version (XP, Vista, 7) more Rails like environment.

Give a look and stop with your excuses.

O melhor ambiente windows para Rails

Ps: The article was written in Brazilian Portuguese, but Akita soon should post the english version.
